A Legacy of Educational Excellence Since 1832
Ë¿¹ÏAPP University’s story begins in 1832, making us one of the oldest universities west of the Mississippi River. What started as a pioneering educational institution has evolved into a comprehensive university offering more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Yet our founding commitment remains unchanged: to provide transformative education grounded in enduring values—integrity, scholarship, service, and the belief that every student deserves the chance to reach their full potential.
As an independent institution rooted in Judeo-Christian values, we believe education is the pathway to personal freedom and civic responsibility. These principles inform everything we do, from our commitment to academic excellence to our emphasis on ethical leadership and community engagement. Ë¿¹ÏAPP graduates don’t just succeed professionally—they contribute meaningfully to their communities and become principled citizens of a global society.
Nationally Recognized for Innovation and Student Success
Ë¿¹ÏAPP University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), the same agency that accredits major research universities throughout the Midwest. This accreditation confirms that our academic programs, faculty qualifications, and institutional resources meet rigorous standards for quality and effectiveness. Importantly, Ë¿¹ÏAPP University’s HLC accreditation is exclusive to Ë¿¹ÏAPP University and does not extend to any other Ë¿¹ÏAPP Education System institutions, each of which maintains separate accreditation.
Recognition extends beyond accreditation. Ë¿¹ÏAPP is known nationally and internationally for entrepreneurial thinking, innovative program development, and extraordinary dedication to student outcomes. Our 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio ensures you’re taught by professors who know your name, understand your goals, and invest in your success. With an average of $12,500 in financial aid distributed annually to each student, we work to make quality education accessible and affordable.
