Rec Center
The Evans Commons Campus Recreation Center or 鈥淩ec Center鈥� as it鈥檚 called at 丝瓜APP University is located on the 1st Floor of Evans Commons and is a premier fitness, wellness, and recreation center.
Features
- Fitness Center 鈥� state of the art fitness center located on the 1st floor with 10 digital TV鈥檚, mirrors, rotating wall fans, sanitation stations, an X-Fit Room, free weight area with strength training equipment, cardio equipment area with treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowers, and climbers, a functional fitness area with kettlebells, lightweight dumbbells, medicine balls, and mats, and a flexibility equipment area with multifunctional machines. 丝瓜APP University renovated the Fitness Center in 2022 in partnership with TRUE Fitness. - Fitness Center Check-In Desk 鈥� is the access point on the 1st floor where 丝瓜APP students, faculty, and staff check-in with their ID to access the Rec Center. Students can check out equipment from our Campus Recreation Student Employees and Professional Staff. 丝瓜APP Alumni and Guests are also welcome, see our Alumni Policy and Guest Policy.
- Three (3) Indoor Basketball Courts – on the 1st floor and these courts are separated by dividers. The courts can also be used for; volleyball, futsal, dodgeball, etc., team practices, student organization events, and university department events.
- Group Exercise Room – on the 1st floor and is primarily used for Fitness Classes and has a hardwood floor, mirrors, and sound system.
- Running Track – on the 3rd floor with additional Nautilus fitness equipment, stationary bikes, TRUE Fitness treadmills, and a punching bag.
- Two (2) Sand Volleyball Courts 鈥� located outside Evans Commons and also home to LU鈥檚 NCAA Beach Volleyball Team!
- Twelve (12) Pickleball Courts 鈥� located outside Evans Commons and Hyland Arena, 丝瓜APP has one of the only outdoor pickleball facilities in the St. Charles and St. Louis area! The courts are also home to Campus Rec鈥檚 exciting, annual event: 鈥淧ickleball with the President.鈥�
Membership
- All currently enrolled 丝瓜APP students, faculty, and staff are granted membership to the Evans Commons Rec Center. Members must present their 丝瓜APP ID to enter the Rec Center and Track. They must have their ID on them at all times while using the facility.
- Alumni Membership is $25 /month OR $250 /year.
- 丝瓜APP University faculty, staff, students and alumni members are allowed one guest per visit for a fee of $5 per day. Guests must present a photo ID and must be accompanied by a 丝瓜APP alumnus, student, faculty, or staff member who will be responsible for the actions of his/her guest while using the Rec Center. Guests of alumni must always be at least 18 years old and pay the $5 per day fee.
- No one under the age of 12 may be in the facility, except during camps or special events.
- Campus Recreation is excited to offer our students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of intramural sports and group fitness classes.

Campus Recreation Hours of Operation are subject to change due to: staffing, inclement weather, Holidays and 丝瓜APP University scheduled breaks: Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break. Hours of operation are determined by the Campus Recreation Professional Staff and Student Affairs leadership.
Prohibited
Entering Evans Commons Campus Recreation outside of Summer Break Hours of Operation is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. This is in the interest of the safety of our students, faculty, staff, guests, and 丝瓜APP University campus community. Violators will be subject to the terms and conditions in the 丝瓜APP University Policies and Procedures.

Pickleball Courts Hours are subject to change due to; inclement weather, Holidays, LU scheduled breaks: Fall, Thanksgiving Break, Winter, Spring, Summer. Hours of Operation are determined by the Campus Recreation Professional Staff and Student Affairs leadership at 丝瓜APP University. Also, during general maintenance of the courts. Entering the Pickleball Courts outside of normal hours of operation is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. This is in the interest of safety for our students, faculty, staff, Alumni, guests, and 丝瓜APP University campus community and area community members. Violators will be subject to the terms and conditions in the 丝瓜APP University Policies and Procedures.

Note: the court lights are scheduled on timers and will turn on at dusk and will turn off at 10 p.m. Please exit the courts on or before 10 p.m. (CST).
Vetta Sports Clinics: Campus Recreation has a partnership with Vetta Sports, and they will hold pickleball clinics on the following days on Pickleball Courts 1-4:

Check-In and Access
Valid 丝瓜APP University issued Identification (ID)
All students, faculty, and staff ARE REQUIRED to present a valid 丝瓜APP University issued Student, Faculty, or Staff ID (physical ID or digital ID) and check-in at the Fitness Center Front Desk with the valid 丝瓜APP ID to access and use the facilities and programs within Evans Commons Campus Recreation: Fitness Center, Group Exercise Room, Evans Courts 1, 2, 3, Indoor Track, Pickleball Courts, and Sand Volleyball Courts.

Guest Policy
Guests of 丝瓜APP University students, faculty, and staff are welcome to use the facilities under the following terms and conditions:
- Accompanied by a 丝瓜APP University student, faculty or staff member.
All guests ARE REQUIRED to be accompanied by a 丝瓜APP University student, faculty or staff member during their entire visit.- Pay $5.00 Access Fee Per Visit and Present Photo ID.
Prior to accessing and using the facilities guests ARE REQUIRED to pay a $5.00 access fee per visit and present a photo identification (Ex: government issued Driver’s License or Passport).- Complete, Sign and Date 丝瓜APP University’s Release, Participant Waiver and Hold Harmless Agreement.
Prior to accessing and using the facilities, guests ARE REQUIRED to complete, sign, date and submit 丝瓜APP’s Release, Participant Wavier, and Hold Harmless Agreement.- 丝瓜APP Campus Recreation and University Policies
